Safe sleep recommendations tell us that baby should sleep in the same room as his or her parents for the first six months of life. I’m on board with the science and as a mama, I’ll take any excuse to be close to my babies. Number one on my list of must-have baby items is a good bedside bassinet! You’ll use it every single night and it’s worth the extra splurge to get one that you really love. I recommend the Snoo Bassinet because it helps calm your baby, has added safety features, and promises 1-2 extra hours of sleep per night (yes please). My clients swear by it! It’s costly but honestly you can resell it for nearly the same price when you no longer need it – it’s that coveted of an item. 

No. 2  Baby Carrier

The best thing about baby wearing is the ability to be hands-free and bond with your little one at once. Finding a carrier you love will make this process much easier, because they’ll feel comfortable in it from day one. I love Wildbird slings, Solly Baby, and Boba Wrap.

No. 3 Convertible Stroller 

Investing in an awesome, convertible stroller is one of the wisest investments you can make- especially as a first time parent!
